During the 2010-11 academic year, Houston served as assistant conductor of USC Thornton School of Music Concert Choir, conducted by Dr. Cristian Grases. Houston conducted Mendelssohn’s “Andenken” on April 1, 2011, and conducted the premiere of his own composition “Snowflakes” (SBMP 950) in concerts on October 13, 17, and 22, 2010.
