Dr. Groove brings together members of Lift Ticket and Honk the Moose to create an incredibly groovalicious dance experience. Dr. Groove debuts at the Dandelion Romp, in Oberlin, Ohio, in April 2009.

Honk the Moose emanates from Maine and makes a massive sound. Nat Hewitt (of Reckless Ramblers fame) plays fiddle and lead guitar, with Adam Broome (Crowfoot) on rhythm guitar.

“Honk the Moose is one big animal with one big sound. These three musicians deliver the goods with energy and style, which is why they are favorites in the contemporary contra dance scene. But don’t be fooled: there's a subtle side, too, because these guys aren't just playing the music, they’re moving with it. They get to the core of the tune and take you on a most inspiring ride as they are doing it.”

Firetruck, with Ethan Hazzard-Watkins on fiddle and Anna Patton on clarinet (Elixir, Figments), plays less often these days, but has long delighted dancers with its vital and fetching sound. Listen!
